Arts & Culture Mifgash/Encuentro/Encounter at Gann Academy - the New Jewish High School of Greater Boston
October 18th 2006 - Artist Zion Ozeri visits Gann Academy

High school students from the Tarbut School in Buenos Aires and Ironi Hey in Haifa are visiting Gann Academy (www.gannacademy.org) in Boston for a short stay in October. Prior to the trip students from each community are documenting their Jewish lives (check out the posted images). These sixty students will use their images as the springboard for conversations that will reveal cultural similarities and differences on being Jewish. Using these images students' will be creating a collaborative photography project that will travel in an exhibition to each school community. Students will also have the special opportunity to meet visiting artist, Zion Ozeri, who will share his experiences as a photographer who captures diverse Jewish experiences from communities across the globe on Wednesday, October 18th 2006 at Gann Academy.
